A classic question we often receive from our customers, and a fair one at that! What is so special about waxed shoelaces? Actually before we get into that, what are waxed laces exactly? Are they made from candle wax, or perhaps even beeswax?
Don't worry, we're here to provide you with an explanation of what these shoelaces are about, and also what the advantages of this type of lace are. Heck, we might even provide you with some recommendations as to what type of shoes are best suited to waxed shoelaces!
To put it simply, these waxed shoelaces are laces which are coated with a layer of wax (I know, duh!..) as part of the manufacturing process. The wax used for this coating is often either paraffin wax or beeswax.
